Q1: How does Spinal Flow work?
A: Placing a gentle touch on these areas enables the nervous system to recognize how the body is supposed to feel, and this, in turn, will connect to locations in the spine where there are spinal blockages and tell the body to release them. As your practitioner we help your brain in finding the areas of ease to release your blockages and increase areas of ease through these access points.
A spinal flow practitioner will examine your spine, assess your posture and help you to release any stress, layer by layer. When blockages are released, the spinal flow can restore the flow of life force energy to the body to help them heal.
Q2: What are access points?
A: Access points are areas of ease that reside on the tailbone and cranium. By making contact with these access points, the brain and nervous system begin to exchange information through dura mater, which surrounds the spinal cord and cranium. Three layers of membranes known as meninges protect the brain and spinal cord. The delicate inner layer is the pia mater. The middle layer is the arachnoid, a web-like structure filled with fluid that cushions the brain. The tough outer layer is called the dura mater is contacted through the Spinal Flow Healing Technique to engage the brain and spinal cord.
Q3: What's a spinal blockage?
A: Spinal blockages are created by physical, chemical, and/or emotional stress. Refer to the Stressors Section. When one of the spinal vertebrae is out of alignment, this creates pressure on the nerves, blood vessels and surrounding muscles. The misalignment disrupts the flow of life force energy and the signals from the brain passing through the nervous system. This blockage to the flow of life force energy results in symptoms of pain, illness and dis-ease. It is also linked to emotional distress and anxiety.
The Spinal Flow technique helps restore the flow of healing life force energy by releasing the stress layer by layer, which created the misalignment.
Q4: How long will it take to see results ?
A: Spinal Flow results may vary. Some clients may experience drastic changes within the first few sessions. Other times it might be 3-6 months of intense sessions to have significant results. Every single person's body is different. Every single person has had a set of different life circumstances to create different types of stressors in the body. Please know the cause and the timing isn't known. What we do know is with every session we're creating more ease within the body, allowing the body to move to better health, greater healing and assisting the body to do what it needs to do within its innate intelligence.
Frequency of sessions - the longer apart the sessions, the longer healing may take. How long you continue ongoing Spinal Flow care is always up to you.
Q5: What does the assessment entail?
A: The initial assessment entails a client intake form as well as a posture and gateway evaluation. The client will lie on the table for a spinal examination, which consists of palpations of the spine and identifying locations of spinal blockages - physical, chemical, and emotional stressors. After the assessment, we will review findings and relay those findings back to the ailments indicated by the client in their initial intake form.
Re-assessment examinations occur after every 12 sessions to assess progress and determine next steps.
